Repeater
IRLP Node 4316
We had been talking about building a IRLP node for the repeater for several months after putting the repeater on the air. We saw IRLP demonstrated at a local repeater club meeting and decided we needed to get involved with it. The decision was made to attempt to use one of the new mini-itx computers so that the computer would fit nicely into the 19" rack we have for the repeater. We chose the Via C3 because it is very small and has LAN and sound built built in. There were also numerous people who had Linux running on it.
Amateur Radio
These pages are dedicated to Amateur Radio. Here I will post items and projects that I am involved with.
UHF Repeater
This is the 443.200 repeater located in Maryville, Il. The repeater itself is a Kenwood TKR-820. It is controlled by the RLC3 controller manufactured by Link Communications. The controller has several radio cards and the voice DVR. The output is feed into a commercial grade TPL repeater amplifier which produces an easy 100 watts into the Wacom duplexers. The antenna is a Comet CX-333 at about 120 ft.
KB9KLD repeater changing frequency
The KB9KLD 442.525 repeater will be changing to a new frequency in the near future. We have recieved coordination from the Illinois Repeater Association for 443.200. The repeater will continue to use a 103.5 tone for access.
